OT Brake Tech

Tuesday, I set out to change my brakes w/ axxis MM's and Brembo rotors. Getting my calipers off was no problem, but How do I get the freakin rotors off. I was afraid I was going to strip the screws so I only put the pads on.

Is it a good idea to put the rotors on without changing the pads again?

On a side note, the Axxis MM's make a big difference.

I've found two ways to get those screws off -

1) Drill them out

2) Use an impact screwdriver to break them loose (the kind you hit with a hammer)

I went to four different places Tuesday to look for an impact screwdriver, No one had one. Where to buy??

you have a sears there??...here is the picture of the impact driver...they work awesome for the screws on the rotor!!

I remember changing my rotors... I had to screw them out and replace them. the screws worn't instock, but I only found that out after everything was apart. Good thinking on my part.

drill those useless POS screws out and don't bother replacing them. they always seize and are pretty worthless imo. drill 'em and forget 'em.

The only reason the screws are there is to hold the rotors on during assmebly... you can ditch the screws if you like.
